What is Psychotherapy and who does it suit?
If you’ve seen psychologists or counsellors in the past, but you don’t feel any better, then I suggest you try working with a Psychotherapist in Perth instead. Psychotherapists work at a much deeper level to heal all your past traumas in a very gentle way. They also help to restructure parts of your personality that keep you stuck in negative patterns so that life can flow much easier for you. I like to combine Psychotherapy with Mindfulness Meditation and Inner Child work so my clients get even better results.
Here is what one of my clients in her late forties had to say about her experience of having Psychotherapy in Perth with me. “Prior to my therapy with Sandy I sought help through the mediums of psychology and psychiatry. After completing four months of weekly sessions with Sandy, and accomplishing so much more in that time, I would recommend psychotherapy to anyone seeking a gentler, but in my opinion far more effective treatment.”
Psychotherapy will help you to:
- Heal psychological issues and behavioural patterns which have built up over a long period of time, often starting in childhood.
- Understand your feelings, as well as your conscious and unconscious thoughts, more clearly. (I may use Parts work, Inner Child work as well as Dream work to help you achieve this).
- Understand why you react to certain situations and to certain people the way you do, and how to change this. As well as, why you keep attracting certain kinds of people into your life.
Different types of Psychotherapy
As a therapist, I have been fortunate enough to study two different forms of Psychotherapy with two of the best teachers in the world. First, I studied Transactional Analysis with Dr Linda Gregory Ph.D. in Australia, and then I studied Internal Family Systems with Dr Jay Early PhD. (USA).
It is because of my in depth studies with both of these fabulous teachers that I have become the Perth Psychotherapist that I am today, and the reason why my clients experience such deep and lasting changes in their lives. I am always grateful and humbled when they do. If you would like to hear how I’ve been able to change their lives, you can read their testimonials here.
